Acer Aspire V5 Series Laptops with Ivy Bridge now official, prices start at $629 USD or about 27,000 Pesos

Can’t wait for the Acer Aspire S7 to arrive? Or maybe you just want a regular notebook, with all the power of Intel’s Ivy Bridge platform but without the ultra-thin and ultra-light form factor (not to mention the ultra-high price tag that’s often associated with such attributes). Well, fear not, because Acer has just made its Aspire V5 Series laptops official, and is scheduled to release the same to the market by the end of June.

Acer’s Aspire V5 Series laptops will come in 14- and 15-inch variants and will feature either Core i3 or Core i5 Ivy Bridge processors from Intel along with soft-touch material which should make them a joy to use. The 14-inch Acer Aspire V5 laptop measures a mere 0.79 inches thick and weighs 4.6 pounds, while the 15.6-inch Acer Aspire V5 comes in at 0.8 inches thick and weighs 5 pounds.

Both models of the Acer Aspire V5 boast 500GB of onboard storage, USB 3.0, and Acer Instant Connect. They also take advantage of things like Intel’s Turbo Boost technology 2.0, Dolby Advanced Audio v2, Intel HD Graphics 4000, and Acer clear.fi, a way to stream media from one clear.fi enabled device to another via Wi-Fi.

Acer Aspire V5 Series laptops with Ivy Bridge are set to become available by the end of this month starting at $629 or about 27,000 Pesos. Sandy Bridge-equipped versions of the same will also go on sale for a lower price, starting at just $449 or about 19,300 Pesos. Available colors are black, silver, blue, and purple.
